Kevin Alejandro lends support to a boy with terminal cancer

Lane Goodwin isn't an actor, musician, or an athlete, but he has gained some celebrity status recently. He is a 13-year old boy from Kentucky that is fighting a rare cancer, Alveolar Rhabdomyosarcoma stage IV for the third time in his young life. His Facebook page Prayers For Lane Goodwin has reached over 151,000 likes in a short amount of time. Their campaign was to hit 100,00 "thumbs up" while he fights for his life.

People began posting pictures of themselves giving Lane a thumbs up on both Facebook and Twitter (hash tag #ThumbsUpForLane) and it went viral. Not only did folks around the country start lending their support to this young man, but so did celebrities. From the likes of country stars such as Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood to athletes from major sports teams. It puts a big smile on Lane's face and that's what matters most in a dire time like this.

Kevin Alejandro (True Blood, Golden Boy) was one of the latest celebrities to give Lane a thumbs up in support. He posted a picture of himself last night along with "This is for Lane!" He also asked his Golden Boy co-stars, Bonnie Somerville and Holt McCallany to do the same. Bonnie also posted a picture of herself which you can view here.

Each day is a precious gift for Lane as his doctors can no longer treat the cancer that has now taken over his brain. Everyone is praying for a miracle for the boy.
