Kerry’s Washington’s "Scandal" character, Olivia Pope, is no stranger to controversy, and it appears that Washington has landed right in the middle of a scandal as she prepares to host Saturday Night Live (SNL).
Amidst the growing comments regarding the show’s lack of diversity, Washington is all set to host the November 2 SNL Show.
“Why do I think she should be on the show? Because she’s black first of all, and she’s really talented. She’s amazing. She needs to be on SNL. I said it. And I believe they need to follow up with it like they said they were going to do last year,” he told the Grio.
In spite of all the drama, Washington is elated about hosting SNL.
“I’m really, really excited! I’m very excited,” the “Scandal” star told Access Hollywood’s Shaun Robinson, “It’s fun that I get to be smart Kerry here and silly Kerry there,” she said.
