Kerry threatens Israel

U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry speaking at the Munich Security Conference on Feb 1 threatened Israel with boycotts stating that; “You see for Israel there’s an increasing de-legitimization campaign that has been building up. There are talk of boycotts and other kinds of things.”

Boycotts of course are normally imposed by national governments on another nation. Some organizations choose to act independently and institute boycotts such as Oxfam’s boycott of Sodastream which led Jewish actress Scarlett Johansson to resign as a spokesperson for Oxfam after eight years and to her being labeled by ABC News as a 'State Department rogue celebrity problem'.

Oxfam has become rabidly anti-Jewish in recent years, siding openly with the terror group now known as the Palestinian Authority and boycotting any Israeli or Jewish owned business which operates in disputed territories despite the fact those businesses employ many Palestinians.

The initial responses to Kerry’s threats came from both Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Danny Danon. Netanyahu called Kerry’s threats ‘immoral and unjust’ and reiterated that he will not concede the vital interests of Israel or Israeli national security.

Defense Minister Danon was briefer and sharper; “We respect Secretary of State Kerry but will not hold talks with a gun to our head.”

U.S. State Department spokeswoman Jen Psaki then took to Twitter to begin ‘damage control’, first trying to deny Kerry had made the threats and even trying to say Kerry was defending Israel at Munich, then going into a scripted history of Kerry’s supposed long time support of Israel.

Sec. of State Kerry, jokingly referred to in Israeli media as “Nudnik”, has made threats before. The most recent was threatening a “Third Intifada” if Israel didn’t agree to establishment of a Palestinian State in Judea and Samaria.

Going all the way back to the Truman Administration America's Democrat Party has long been anti-Jewish and especially anti-Israeli. Pres. Truman himself did not want to recognize Israel as a nation in 1949. Pres. Lyndon Johnson ordered the spy ship, USS Liberty to conduct surveillance in the Sinai at the outbreak of the 1967 Arab-Israeli War; an action which resulted in an Israeli air strike on that vessel. It is still a matter of debate as to exactly who LBJ sent that ship to spy on.

Pres. Jimmy Carter was no friend of Israel either and despite his accolades for the Camp David Accords, mainstream media has paid little attention to Pres. Carter’s continued praise and wreath laying at the graves of dead Arab terrorists whenever he travels to the Middle East.

Pres. Barack Obama has demanded on more than one occasion that Israel withdraw to the borders demarcated at the time of 1949 Partition when Britain released its mandate on the lands now known as Israel, the West Bank and Gaza.

On one occasion, Pres. Obama even stated this demand directly to Prime Minister Netanyahu at a White House press conference; whereupon the latter promptly ‘educated’ the President on the folly of such a demand.

The Secretary of State of the United States of course is the highest direct spokesman for the President of the United States on all matters of foreign policy. Sec. of State Kerry did not make his threats now, or those in November without at least an ‘understanding’ with his boss, Pres. Obama.

Pres. Obama’s prime focus in the Middle East is the humbling and defeat of Israel. Every word uttered and every action taken by the Obama regime is driven by that goal, whether it is threats against Israel, aiding and abetting terror groups like Hezbollah and Hamas; appeasement of Syria’s Assad regime on chemical weapons, or allowing Iran to build nuclear bombs.
