Kern County holding free hazardous materials business plan workshops

Are you a business owner? Do you use hazardous materials or generate hazardous wastes in your business? If you do, then you need to prepare a Hazardous Materials Business Plan if you handle/generate such materials in quantities of more than 55 gallons of liquids, 500 pounds of solids, or 200 cubic feet of gases.

If you are unfamiliar with the requirements or just need a refresher, the Kern County Environmental Health Services Division holds free workshops to help you prepare your plan and answer any questions. Held the second Tuesday of every month (the next one is April 12), this is a great opportunity for you to learn why you need such a plan and how to prepare one.

The workshops are held from 1 to 3 PM at the EHSD's offices at 2700 M Street, Bakersfield, CA. Pre-registration is suggested and you may do this by calling 661-321-3000.
