It was Kenya Moore’s turn to tell her side of the story as the “Real Housewives of Atlanta” star stopped in to chat with Andy Cohen on “Watch What Happens Live,” which aired on Sunday night. In the interview, Moore talked about her highly publicized brawl with co-star Porsha Williams.
Moore, who was seen as an antagonist of the fight, defended herself to Cohen. In a situation that escalated rather quickly on the first hour of “RHOA”’s reunion special, most fans saw Kenya’s use of props, including a scepter and a megaphone, as a means of her instigating the physical altercation between the two rivals. Moore, of course, defended herself.
On her use of the scepter, Moore says, “I never used the scepter as a threatening motion, I never held it up I never said, ‘I’m going to beat you with it,’ It wasn’t threatening.” But it was definitely disrespectful and agitation as most of the housewives admitted. It was something that obviously escalated between the two women as a result of their beef, which only heightened during the first two seasons.
While Williams has publicly stated her regret about the situation, Moore refuses to apologize and went as far as pressing charges against Williams. In talking about her reasons for not apologizing, she offered the following reason.
“I think that she is a person who is incapable of showing contrition she is not remorseful and I don’t think that someone who is attacked would have to apologize for being attacked. I think that’s similar to saying if you’re a husband and you beat up your wife and the husband says well she provoked me.”
Kenya Moore also went as far as to blaming Cohen and Bravo for engaging the situation. The former Miss U.S.A. obviously felt like she was ganged up on during the reunion special and felt her boss and network did nothing to provide an even playing field as she not only feuded with Porsha Williams, she also feuded with NeNe Leakes and Phaedra Parks.
She said to Cohen, “Had you leveled the playing field, had you shown the flashbacks of her being aggressive toward me, had you done that than you wouldn’t have gotten the reaction that you did. You stacked the deck of cards against me, so that is the truth.”
In the interview Moore also went on to comment on Porsha’s boob-job, her having a plan of attack going into the reunion and also denied she bullied Porsha, saying a “bully is someone who torments a weaker person, and I think that that term is not appropriate here.”
The whole chat with Andy Cohen was not all about Williams of course. Moore opened up about her IVF treatments and also explains the reason behind her bringing the scepter to the show. She cited fan response from her use of a prop last year as her reasoning to bring one this year. In other words she thought it would make for good TV.
