Writers of Kentucky want to gather. There are not many of us and yet there are various programs, meetings, and get-togethers for writers of every category in the writing industry. The event listed below is something specifically geared towards advancing a career in the writing industry.

Friday October 15 -
The Carnegie Center for Literacy and Learning is offering a Beginning Grant Writing seminar from noon-1:30 pm. This seminar is geared toward artists seeking personal arts grants as well as individuals hoping to learn the grant writing process for nonprofit work. Learn the basics about grant research, how to write a grant, what to include in your proposal, project budgets, the do’s and don’ts of grant writing, and more! Cost: $40. To register, visit CarnegieCenterLex.org or call 859-254-4175.

This Lexington event is great for those of you who read the articles on grant writing, because Louisville is sorely in demand for grant writers and the pay is quite good. You can take another perusal of the articles for grant writing here: Grant Writing - Getting Started as a Grant Writer - Finding Grants and Funding

Hang out with fellow writers, expand your writer’s platform as well as your writing knowledge and have some fun! Be sure to check back for a list of next week’s goings-on in Kentucky.
