This morning, there is a glimmer of hope for justice in the case of a severely neglected puppy who was found partially frozen to the ground in Henderson, Ky.
According to 14 News, on Friday night, authorities arrested Wendy Cobb, 34, on charges of animal cruelty.
The sickly puppy who was discovered on Wednesday, partially frozen on the ground beneath Cobb's trailer, died not long after being rescued. The puppy had been named "Miracle," by the Humane Society of Henderson County.
Officials who visited Cobb's home describe the Cobb residence, which was infested with insects, as "extremely unlivable."
Miracle was not the only animal at the home.
Officials also removed several other pets, including cats, dogs, a snake and lizards. Four children, ages five through 17, had also been residing at the home.
The animals were removed and the children were placed in the custody of other family members.
