Kentucky Wildcats defeat Providence Friars 79-65 at the Barclays Center

The Barclay's Center, home of the Brooklyn Nets was host to the Kentucky Wildcats vs Providence Friars last night. With a crowd of over 8,000 fans the Kentucky Wildcats beat out the Friars with a score of 79-65.

James Young scored 18 points, Aaron Harrison added 15 and Julius Randle scored 12 for the Wildcats. Bryce Cotton had 23 points for the Friars. Providence was without sophomore guard Kris Dunn who has been out with a right shoulder injury and isn't expected back anytime soon. Kentucky shot a fantastic game from 3-point range eventually edging out the Friars for the win.

This was only the second time the two schools played each other. The first was 1976 at Madison Square Garden where Kentucky beat Providence 79-78.
