On Tuesday, Kentucky freshman Julius Randle announced he has decided to declare for the NBA draft. He just confirmed what everybody already knew. According to Randle stated that he came to Kentucky “to grow and mature.” In his one season with the Wildcats, Julius Randle believes he accomplished his goals.

Julius Randle was a dominant force on the college level in his lone season. Although you might not have seen it in his numbers completely, Randle averaged 15 points and 10.4 rebounds to earn a double-double.

Jabari Parker thought about staying at Duke, but NBA draft called.

He finished the season with 24 double-doubles and helped lead the Kentucky Wildcats to the National title game. From the first game of the season, Randle was a force to be reckoned with.

Listed at 6’9,” Julius Randle has a natural gift for rebounding, and he is relentless on the boards. As long as he keeps the fire, he’ll be one of the best offensive rebounders in the NBA.

Michigan loses two stars to NBA Draft: Nik Stauskas and Glenn Robinson III bolt for the pros.

Julius Randle is a dominant lefty, yet players find it hard to keep him from the paint on the right wing. He also has a nice touch around the basket. Soon enough, his jump shot will be lethal enough to keep opposing defenses honest.

Currently, Randle is projected to be a top five selection, but his height will be highly scrutinized during the draft process.

So far, two of the Kentucky freshman have declared for the 2014 draft. James Young decided to take his talent to the league, while sophomore Willie Cauley-Stein will be part of “Big Blue Nation” for his junior year.

Two more decisions still need to be made for Kentucky. Aaron and Andrew Harrison have not decided on their basketball future, but it wouldn’t hurt for the twins to stay another year.

The deadline to enter the draft comes on Sunday.
