Kent State alums appear in Warner Brothers new movie

A pair of Kent State alums are featured in the upcoming movie about Michael Oher, the #1 draft pick in the 2009 National Football League Draft and rookie offensive lineman with the Baltimore Ravens. “The Blind Side”, based on Michael Lewis' book, "The Blind Side: Evolution of a Game”, is the true story of a homeless and impoverished teenager who, with the help of a wealthy family, overcomes several obstacles to be recruited by several major college football programs before he accepts an athletic scholarship to the University of Mississippi where he develops into an All-American and highly regarded NFL prospect. Starring Sandra Bullock, Kathy Bates, country singer Tim McGraw and Quinton Aaron, who stars as Oher, “The Blind Side” has appearances by Lou Holtz (Kent State linebacker in 1957) and Nick Saban (KSU defensive back from 1970 to 1973).

Due for release on November 20, “The Blind Side” is a highly anticipated holiday drama from Warner Brothers and Alcon Entertainment.
