Storage bidders in the Kent, Auburn and Burien areas still have time to pick up a unit before the month ends.
On Friday, there is a nine-stop auction train that begins in Auburn, goes through Kent and ends in Maple Valley. Then on Saturday, a seven stop train begins in and ends in Seattle with stops between in Kent and Burien.
For those that haven’t attended a storage auction train before, they are a great way to view a lot of units in a one day time period. Auction trains are a series of auctions that follow one another. Bidders attend the first location and sign in: Public Storage trains vary on whether or not you need to sign into each location or only at the first stop.
When all the units in the first location have been sold, the winners head to the office to pay. Afterwards they join the other bidders at the next location on the ‘route’ and this pattern continues until all the locations have been hit. Public Storage trains normally have the same auctioneer hosting all the stops. When you pay for your first unit, your drivers license info is entered it into the computer which is then available for any future units.
Storage Unit Auctions can be cancelled right up to the last minute which makes it wise to call beforehand to confirm. At auction trains only the first location need be called as the auctioneer will inform the group of any other changes in the schedule.
