The media in San Antonio, TX has been suspect by many in failing to provide truth in journalism – and in reporting mostly what the City of San Antonio wishes the public to believe. Only moments before writing this article, this reporter found that suspicion to be supported more fully.
The above story failed to provide a great deal of factual information. Although the station claims the story was the result of an investigation, KENS 5 failed to report any of the readily available information published by this reporter linked below.
Tonight, comments were posted online to the KENS 5 news story in question. The comments made that exposed the true situation were removed by KENS 5 only minutes after they were posted.
The station appears to have run the story to help the city prevent the public from learning all of the facts about the Brooks animal facility.
Additionally, less than one month ago KSAT news in San Antonio ran a glowing report about the city’s Animal Control Services (ASC). In that story, KSAT ignored large amounts of factual information that was in its possession.
Mayor Julian Castro’s San Antonio, TX has been in violation of the law and is deceiving the public. The news media in San Antonio allow many false and misleading statements by city representatives to go unchallenged, while the facts to the contrary are in their possession.
Many are now seeking help outside the city with legal authorities. There is currently an attorney working to expose the Brooks situation.
Hopefully, there will soon be at least one main-stream media outlet in the city that will be ready to report the truth to the citizens and not aid the corrupt.
Note: Soon after posting this story, KENS 5 replaced the comments they had deleted. Screen shots were taken before and after they deleted the comments, and they are included with this article.
Now San Antonio citizens may read more of the truth...and compare the facts to what KENS 5 was compelled to present.
With all of the investigative journalists and resources in the main-stream media in San Antonio, it is alarming that they publish and broadcast incomplete and even false information, apparently without concern for the citizens right to know.
