NASCAR Nationwide Series veteran driver Kenny Wallace is making a return to the series this weekend to compete in the US Cellular 250 at Iowa Speedway in Newton. He'll be behind the wheel of the No. 29 Toyota for RAB Racing.

"I am once again ready to go," Wallace said. "Although it's my first race of the season (in the Nationwide Series), I've been racing an awful lot recently. It's like riding a bicycle; you never forget, and I'll be up to speed right away."

Wallace competing in seven of 33 Nationwide Series races last year, also driving the No. 29 RAB Racing entry. Those seven races in 2013 included both of the series' visits to Iowa. He posted a top-20 finish, finishing 13th in the first Nationwide race of the year at the track. He finished 22nd in the other one. He has six-career starts at Iowa, finishing in the top-10 in half of those races. He also boasts a lap completion record at the track of 99.5 percent.

"Iowa is a good track for me, and I can't wait to get there and represent the title sponsor of the weekend, US Cellular," Wallace said.

Chris Rice will be Wallace's crew chief this weekend. Even though this weekend's race will be Wallace's first Nationwide race of the year, it won't be his first time working with Rice.

"My crew chief, Chris Rice, has been one of the longest-running driver-crew chief relationships of my career, so I know that we will be back in the swing of things quickly and I look so forward to it."

Wallace is a longtime competitor in the Nationwide Series, dating back to his first start in 1988. He began racing full-time in the series in 1989 and has competed in at least one race every year since, except for 1993 and 1998 when he raced full-time in the Sprint Cup Series. Wallace competed full-time in the Nationwide Series for 14 seasons. In all, he has a total of 543-career Nationwide Series starts, resulting in nine wins, 66 top-fives and 173 top-10 finishes.
