Kenny Chesney has taken his breather and is back at work getting ready to bring his fans the new music they have been waiting for. Country Weekly revealed the big news on June 10, 2014 that Kenny Chesney has released a little bit of some new music he has on the way with "American Kids" being revealed as the title of the new single.

Chesney is getting ready to release his 16th album that he is co-producing with Buddy Cannon. Chesney headed to Twitter in April to let his fans know that he was in the recording studio preparing the next album that is on the way. Chesney also gave his fans a look at the teaser video for his upcoming single to let fans get a look at what is coming from Chesney. The new single "American Kids" will be available on June 23, 2014.

Chesney described the new song by saying "When I heard it, I knew I was gonna cut it." Chesney described hearing the song by saying "It was unlike anything I'd ever heard - and I listen to a lot of songs. The rhythms, the images, the way the melody moved... It just grabs you and holds on, but even more importantly, it feels really good."

Chesney also discussed how the song will connect with his fans saying "People work long hours, have all kinds of stuff going on in their personal lives. But if there's one thing I've seen over the last ten years, looking out at the faces in the crowd: you can't keep my fans down. These are people who no matter what are in love with life, and they're gonna find the good times no matter what.”
