Designer Kenneth Cole held his Kenneth Cole Collection Fall 2013 fashion show featuring both Womenswear and Menswear for Mercedes-Benz New York Fashion Week Fall 2013 at 537 West 27th Street on February 7, 2013 in New York City, inviting the likes of Brooke Shields and Heidi Klum for front row.
On the surprising side of the Kenneth Cole Collection Fall 2013 Womenswear was the menswear inspired black and white suit on the female model, accessorized with black men’s shoes and black aviators. A word of caution on going this “butch” unless you can play it off with lots of long, flowing hair and plenty of makeup…
Or team that tailored top half with a feminine chiffon skirt, as did one model and perhaps achieve a soft/hard look that has just the right amount of edgy girlishness!
The black and white embroidery print pieces were lovely but the burgundy and oxblood touches made quite an impact as well.
The Kenneth Cole Collection Fall 2013 also features military-inspired olive drab pieces, while leather moto jackets, biker vests and slick leathery trench coats added a street-smart edge.
Peeptoe boots of varying lengths, felt jockey hats accessorized the ensembles to great effect.
For Kenneth Cole Collection Fall 2013 Menswear, leather overnighter bags, chukka style ankle boots and the same felted jockey hats accessorize black, grey and neutral ensembles to include puffer jackets, hooded parkas and overcoats.
There are also some sharp business suits for men in shades and charcoal and pearl grey in this collection.
Models were made to brandish their mobile devices and pretend that they were texting. Is there a new Kenneth Cole Collection ap in the making or was KCC just trying to keep up with the times – even on the runway…
