Compton, California rapper Kendrick Lamar will headline the 2014 Pitchfork Music Festival. Lamar has been on a roll since the 2012 release of his sophomore album good kid, m.A.A.d city and has taken that momentum into 2014. The protégé of Dr. Dre will headline the final day of the 2014 Pitchfork festival in Chicago on July 20.
Beck and Neutral Milk Hotel will headline on Friday and Saturday night respectively. Also performing are Giorgio Moroder, Sun Kil Moon, Factory Floor, the Haxan Cloak, Sharon Van Etten, tUnE-yArDs, Mas Ysa, the Range, DIIV, Circulatory System, Wild Beasts, the Julie Ruin, Grimes, and Slowdive. More performers will be announced in the coming weeks.
The festival takes place on July 18-20 at Union Park in Chicago, IL. Three-day passes are on sale now for $130, in addition to single-day passes for $60.
