Kendrick Lamar set to perform on 'Saturday Night Live'

The world is not ready for West Coast's glorified MC, Kendrick Lamar.

Still coming off the high of 2012, Kendrick Lamar is gearing up for an even bigger year in his career. The West Coast’s new king has been booked to perform on NBC's hit comedy sketch show, “Saturday Night Live” later this month.

The “Swimming Pools” rapper will play musical guest on the January 26 episode with host Adam Levine of Maroon 5. He will perform material off his critically-acclaimed debut good kid, m.A.A.d city, which was recently certified gold.

“SNL x Jan 26th… ya bish…” wrote Kendrick on his Facebook page.

Just yesterday, he released the video for “Backseat Freestyle” and can be heard on Dido’s new single “Let Us Move On.”

This will be Kendrick's first time on the SNL stage but it definitely will not be his last.
