As perhaps one of the most talked about rappers of today Kendrick Lamar burst onto the hip-hop scene with the debut of his album "Good Kid, M.A.A.D City."
The young rapper has officially debuted his music video for his hit single "Poetic Justice." In the video Lamar pays tribute to his roots, as the scene is centered around a Crenshaw neighborhood.
In the slow motion shot clips, a young crowd seems to be just hanging out until gunshots are fired and Lamar rushes to save the girl who is the object of his attention throughout the video. However, he is too late as he lays on top of her with gunshots wounds from trying to cover her.
The video is certainly just as creative as his exceptional album with respect to his ability to tell a meaningful story.
Lamar is undoubtedly setting out to change the face of hip-hop.
