On Jan. 26 American rapper Kendrick Lamar performed his singles "Swimming Pool (Drank)" and "Poetic Justice" on the NBC late night program "Saturday Night Live". The show was hosted by Adam Levine and Lamar not only performed two songs, but was also featuring in the SNL digital short "YOLO" featuring Levine, and The Lonely Island. For the performance Lamar wore all black and his backing band wore matching sweatshirts that had "T.D.E." written on the front. The song "Poetic Justice" features a verse by rapper Drake, but he did not appear on the show to perform with Lamar.
Both "Poetic Justice" and "Swimming Pool (Drank)" are singles from Lamar's second studio album, "Good Kid, M.A.A.D City". The album was released on Oct. 22, 2012 via Top Dawg Entertainment/Interscope Records and it debuted at No. 2 on the U.S. Billboard 200 chart.
