Let’s hope Kendra Wilkinson did some major tidying up before her “Celebrity Wife Swap” with Kate Gosselin. On Feb. 20, Radar Online reported that the former Playboy Playmate had some explaining to do to her 3-year-old son Hank Jr. when he spotted a nude picture of his mom on a bathroom mirror.
“He sees a naked photo of me on Hank’s mirror in the bathroom. It’s me on the beach, with my hair wet, naked for Playboy,” Kendra said. “And little Hank comes in, ‘Mama what are you doing here?’ I’m like, ‘Mama’s swimming in the ocean.’ ‘But, you are so dirty.’ ‘I’m swimming I’m swimming!’”
While she dodged that bullet, calling the incident “fun,” it will be even more fun to see how she fares as a pseudo mom to eight kids next week on “Celebrity Wife Swap.” That’s when the “Kendra on Top” star trades lives with reality TV mom of eight, Kate Gosselin.
On the ABC reality show, the two vastly different moms (and former "Dancing With the Stars' competitors) move into each other’s homes and take charge of running it with the help of an instructional handbook. While fans have already seen Kate’s strict parenting style on her TLC shows “Jon and Kate Plus 8” and “Kate Plus 8,” an inside look at Kendra’s more laid back parenting approach will be a TV first.
According to an ABC press release, Kate's not afraid to "lay down the law" when she needs to, while Kendra and her football pro husband Hank Baskett “have a very relaxed parenting style in which they allow Little Hank the freedom to learn and grow without any harsh guidelines.”
Although Kate Gosselin will trade eight kids for one, it sounds like she will definitely have her hands full.
“Little Hank is not so little anymore,” Kendra Wilkinson said of her son. “He’s three years old but he acts like he is 23 years old. He runs rules on us. He’s like an old, Italian grump stuck in this baby’s body. He is so mean.”
Other “Celebrity Wife Swap’” pairings this season include Coolio and Mark McGrath, and Alan Thicke and Gilbert Gottfried.
In the Philadelphia area, Kate Gosselin and Kendra Wilkinson’s “Celebrity Wife Swap” episode will air on Feb. 26 at 8:00 p.m. on WPVI Channel 6.
