Critically-acclaimed comedian Kendra Cunningham brings her blonde logic back home to Boston on February 1-2, 2013 as she headlines Dick’s Beantown Comedy Vault for a spectacular weekend of comedy. This will be Cunningham’s first trip up north since she was named a finalist in the 2012 Boston Comedy Festival.
Long before she was a main fixture in the New York comedy scene, receiving accolades from The New York Times, Time Out New York and The Huffington (who frequently lists Cunningham’s tweets in their Top 25 Tweets of the Week by Women), the Milton native attended Fontbonne Academy and was moonlighting from her job at Smith Barney to hold court behind the bar at Brandy Pete’s, The Tar Bar, and Café Mojo.
Since moving to New York in 2000, Cunningham has written, acted in and produced three short comedic films including LonelyGirl48, which won Best Comedic Short at The Boston Comedy Festival and the Palm Beach International Film Festival. Her blog, Blonde Logic, has been featured in the New York Times and the one and only “That Girl”. Ms. Marlo Thomas recently featured Kendra’s joke, “I never sit around and wonder what my ex is up to, I’m always 10 feet behind him,” on MarloThomas.com.
Cunningham will perform at 8:00 p.m. on Friday, February 1 and at 8:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 2. Dick’s Beantown Comedy Vault is located at Remington’s at 124 Boylston Street in Boston. For tickets and more information visit www.dickdoherty.com or call 800-401-2221.
