In recent news reality TV star and model Kendall Jenner has been accused of buying Twitter followers. With almost eight million followers Kendall Jenner, who gets paid to send out Tweets endorsing products it is no wonder that the more followers you have the more companies will be apt to want Reality TV stars like Kendall Jenner to endorse their products.
The 18-year-old currently has approximately 7.99 million fans on Twitter. However, the number does not mean anything as it turns out that Kendall Jenner's account is apparently followed by millions of fake accounts, indicating that she may have paid a service to make her look so much more popular.
The names of the aspiring model's Twitter followers were ran through a fakers app on statuspeople.com. The website revealed a shocking result: Around 4.6 million, which is over half of Kendall Jenner's current followers, were either "fake" or inactive.
Then, why does she feel the need to buy her followers? Jenner is in this huge, very competitive celebrity popularity race on Twitter. She is currently ranked at 117, just two steps below Lindsay Lohan.
A source claims that Kendall can make up to $1,000 per sponsored Tweet, and with more followers come bigger rewards. There have been claims that Kendall’s older sister, Kim Kardashian, may be faking nearly half of her online fans.
