Ken Wahl and his reward for Timothy the cat

The story broke last month about a poor little orange tabby kitten on a lonely road in Minnesota. A loving couple found him half frozen and had been struck by a vehicle. The couple was amazed to find the kitten had actually had his nose glued to the highway in some kind of sick joke. They took him to Second Chance Rescue Center where they had the Dale Animal Hospital treat him. A volunteer took him home but it was just not enough for this poor little soul. He gave a fight but his little helpless body just gave out due to all the trauma from the cold and internal injuries. He sadly died a few days later.

When this story broke Ken Wahl, an award winning actor, decided that he needed to do something. So now he is offering an award for the killer of this kitten. There already is a cash award of $12,000 from the Second Chance Rescue Center that has come from numerous donations. Ken decided that was not enough and is now offering his Golden Globe to the person that provides information leading to a conviction of the killer of poor little Timothy. Ken Wahl has been happily married to Shane Barbi for 13 years. She and her sister, Sia Barbi, are the Barbi Twins that have devote most of their lives to pet advocacy. Shane and Sia Barbi said, “We (Ken, Shane and Sia) want to have from this picture and article, that it is NOT ok to pick on animals, as now law enforcement will be looking at this as a profile to a violent criminal if not a serial killer! Timothy represents all animals abused and from here on out everyone will be looking at animal abusers a lot harder knowing the facts of them 100% becoming violent offenders.”

Shane said, “This is a testament that Ken is the best guy in the world that he would actually give up his Golden Globe to find the killer of the kitten, that shows he has a heart for the helpless animals.” Sia her sister made a bold statement with this stating, “We need to stand together and make a stand for animal abuse to make it a felony, but instead we seem to give a slap on the wrist. You can only judge a country by how we treat our animals.” Renee Butts, Willie Nelson’s daughter, created Ken Wahl’s website to show what kind of person he was and what kind of person he is now. As Renee has stated, “her sister Amy Nelson is doing a calendar for 2011 of male celebrities and their cats. It is for the Stray Cat Alliance.” Ken is in that calendar and his picture has been created into a poster. “That poster will be launching into stores soon“, says Shane and Sia Barbi. This poster creates another side to Ken Wahl, that tough guys can be kind to animals too. All the proceeds of the poster sales will be divided equally among three rescues; Best Friends, Last Chance for Animals and Stray Cat Alliance.
