Kelsey Grammer and ex-wife Camille battle over protecting their children

Whenever children are involved in a divorce, whether you live in Milwaukee or Hollywood, California, the children are the ones who are often put in the middle. Such is the case between Kelsey Grammer and his ex-wife, Camille. The couple shares two children and have not even been divorced a year yet. However, the battle over the children continues on a seemingly daily basis.

Children of all ages, including those shared by Grammer and his ex-wife, often participate in activities that require a commitment. In this divorce case, Camille claims that Grammer refuses to take his children to these activities during his time with them. According to the Huffington Post, Camille sued Grammer for custody in the hopes of suspending visitation. However, the courts sided with Grammer, stating that as long as the children were not absent from their events, Grammer would maintain his level of custody.

Camille still maintains that Grammer is not holding up his part of the order because he often sends the children to their activities with the nanny instead of attending himself. TMZ encountered Camille out and about with her children and chose to speak with her. When she was asked about activities she enjoys with the children, she allowed the older child to answer. This impromptu interview angered Grammer.

In an attempt to protect his children from the paparazzi and keep his public custody battle out of media attention, Grammer has now filed for a gag order against Camille. While this order offers the appearance of protecting the innocent children in this divorce case, it likely also serves personal purposes. Grammer is already remarried and expecting another child.

While many Milwaukee divorcees don’t encounter the paparazzi or display their issues in such a public format, they still aim to protect their children. In some cases, this means filing for modifications with the court when one parent is not following the court orders. However, some parents do not always have their children’s best interests in mind. In fact, they sometimes only look out for their own interests, using their innocent children as pawns in the game.
