Monday, Kelly Ripa sported the Stella McCartney Miracle Dress, much to the dismay of many ‘Live with Kelly’ viewers.
Although Ripa looked stunning in the form fitting dress, fans misinterpreted the darts on the front of the designer creation. Many viewers thought the darts were Ripa’s nipples showing through the fabric. Ripa received some less than kind fax and email messages pointing out her fashion error.
Ripa handled the fan criticism with grace and dignity, which couldn’t have been easy given some of the comments.
Although Ripa made light of the comments, she used the printed copies of the emails to cover herself. She laughed the situation off, but was clearly uncomfortable by the attention.
Perhaps viewers should give Kelly Ripa a bit more credit. Ripa is lovely and she always dresses tastefully and appropriate. Maybe the criticism was a bit harsh.
