A spicy tale is getting even hotter as fans and media report rumors Ryan Seacrest will be replacing "Live" host Regis Philbin as Kelly Ripa's co-host. The current host of "American Idol" will face decision time when his FOX contract ends and is reportedly in negotiation talks with ABC as the new stage partner for Ripa.

"Regis is one of the guys I looked up to all my career," Ryan said in a recent interview, according to The Daily Mail. "I think he’s fantastic."
REGIS: NEARLY 30 YEARS ON "LIVE WITH REGIS AND KELLY"
At the turning point of his 80th birthday, Philbin announced the news last week telling "Live with Regis and Kelly" fans it's "been a long time".
"It's been 28 years [and] it was the biggest thrill of my life to come back to New York, where I grew up as a kid watching TV in the early days, you know, never even dreaming that I would one day have the ability, or whatever it takes, to get in front of the camera and talk to it," said Regis.
POSSIBLE OTHER REPLACEMENTS FOR REGIS?
