If Kelly Ripa were a superhero, she just might be called Botox Babe. We can see her now, wearing a bandoleer of sparkly, diamond-studded syringes full of crystalline liquid, ready to save the world at a moment's notice with her abilities to banish crow's feet for months at a time, and keep you from unpleasant side-effects of being human, like sweating.
In a new Elle magazine interview, Kelly spills her beauty secrets, including how she keeps from sweating at the gym! Check them out now below the jump.
Kelly Ripa Botex Babe: 'Live!' Co-Host Opens Up In New Elle Magazine Interview
The "Live! With Kelly and Michael" co-host has previously admitted to getting Botox in her forehead, along with other "enhancements" over the years, and we already knew the busy mom and TV personality always finds time to work out. What we didn't know was some of the places besides her forehead that Kelly likes to get poked and prodded regularly to help her look her TV-best every morning for viewers.
In the February issue of Elle magazine, Huffington Post reports Kelly laid her beauty secrets bare. "Every seven months or so, my eyelid skin rests on my eyelashes. So I feel like it makes my makeup artist's life easier, and it makes my eyes look a little more open on TV, which is where I happen to work right now."
The "Live! With Kelly and Michael" co-host also gets injections in her armpits, allowing her to exit her frequent Spin classes looking as fresh as a daisy while the other girls emerge from their high-intensity work-out, dripping and suspicious. "It's the Botox," Kelly told Elle.
The latest Kelly Ripa Botox admissions aren't that surprising, as Kelly has always maintained a healthy sense of humor regarding her "enhancements". In a 2009 interview with People Magazine, Kelly Ripa said of plastic surgery, “I really don’t think there is anything wrong with it.”
However, Kelly has stated she in too much of a "wimp" to ever have a major cosmetic surgery such as breast augmentation done, so don't expect her to show up to the "Live! With Kelly and Michael" set rocking Triple-E's anytime soon. There are some things even botulism can't do, and it seems that is about as far as Kelly wants to go at the moment.
Is Kelly Ripa Botox happy, or just doing what she needs to to feel good about herself and stay TV-acceptable? What are your thoughts on cosmetic procedures?
