Kelly Ripa: Botox is the secret weapon in her fight against aging (Video)

For Kelly Ripa, Botox is a weapon in the fight against aging. The actress and morning show host looks amazing. Although much of her good looks probably come from superior genetics and clean living, at least some of her youthful glow comes from another source. According to a Jan. 15, 2013 report by The Daily Mail, Ripa admitted to using Botox every seven months to keep her eyelid skin from resting on her eyelashes.

Kelly Ripa is only 42 years old. That's hardly old enough to be overly concerned about aging, and there are plenty of celebrities her age, even older, who look fabulous and youthful for their age. Just one look at beauties like Cindy Crawford, Kathy Ireland, Catherine Zeta Jones and Gwen Stefani should make anyone think twice about considering women in their 40s over the hill. Plus, anyone who has ever seen Ripa in a bikini knows she looks far better than many women half her age. When it comes to her appearance, she really doesn't have anything to worry about. She would certainly look just as lovely without the frequent Botox treatments.

Kelly Ripa's Botox revelation was made to Elle. She told the magazine that Botox injections make it easier for her makeup artist to do her job. In addition, she indicated that the injections make her eyes look "a little more open on TV." She obviously finds that important since she appears on television five days per week as co-host of "Live! With Kelly and Michael."

Believe it or not, Kelly Ripa's Botox use extends beyond her face. She actually gets the injections in her armpits to help minimize perspiration. Now, that's dedication.
