We’ve seen Kelly Osbourne throughout her life, including seeing her in
different shapes and sizes. From her physical changes and her gig on
Fashion Police, it seemed as though it was a matter of time Ms.
Osbourne decided to create her own line. With punky to elegant styles
Osbourne has worn over the years, it is no wonder she did not create
her own fashion line sooner.
The difference from any other fashion line, is that Kelly’s plans are
to involve all different sizes and keep those sizes at the same price.
Most shops, and big-box stores increase their larger and plus sizes by
a few dollars because of the costs to use extra fabric. Osbourne
researched her sources and has found a way to make a size 2 and size
24 fairly and in the end cost the same to the consumer.
The pieces and unveiling of any fashion line is still under wraps, but
is green lighted and ready to go into development. In an interview
with People, Osbourne spoke of her weight loss and interest in a
“I was having fun but no one takes notice of a fat girl in fashion.
That’s the truth! It’s sad. That’s why I love women like Beth Ditto
who are doing their own clothes. That’s why when my line comes out
I’ll never make anything that won’t be translated to plus-size as
well. Because everyone deserves to wear fashion.”
If the pieces look good and the prices are affordable for fashionistas of all sizes, her line may just be a success.
