Kelly Osbourne was released from the hospital on Monday evening, having been given a clean bill of health by her doctors. Kelly, 28, suffered a seizure while filming an episode of “Fashion Police” on Thursday. Rumors ran rampant that Osbourne had been diagnosed with epilepsy, but they proved unfounded. Doctors are saying today that Kelly’s seizure was likely a “onetime episode”, although they will continue to monitor her.
Osbourne’s rep released a statement which read, “After a five-day hospital stay, Kelly Osbourne has returned home and has been given a clean bill of health by her doctor”, according to E! News.
“Doctors ran numerous tests and determined that this was most likely a onetime episode of which there are no conclusive results. She is looking forward to returning to ‘Fashion Police’ this week and getting back to business and life as usual”, the statement continued.
Kelly's mother Sharon Osbourne, said Monday on her CBS series “The Talk” that she was glad that her daughter's seizure had been captured on tape so that it may aid doctors in identifying her condition.
“She's on medications. Nobody knows why she had it - can't figure out a reason why - but she is fine, and naughty”, Sharon she joked on her show, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Metro reports that once home Kelly tweeted thanks to her well wishers saying, “Thank you to all the Doctors Nurses Medical Staff & Employees @CedarsSinai Hospital for fixing me enough to go home its so nice to bein bed!”
“We were very blessed that…when she had her seizure, she had it while she was filming, so it was filmed”, said Sharon, adding, “We needed that to show the neurologist so they could see what was happening”.
