So much for privacy. Kelly Osbourne has decided to address rumors about her breakup with fiance Matthew Mosshart. The same day her rep issued a statement asking for “privacy, decorum and space” from the press, Osbourne decided to come clean about the sudden split.
On January 9, People posted Osbourne’s statement to E! News: "It was a mutual decision," the “Fashion Police” host said, "We love each other very much. It just wasn't the right time for us and I think if we weren't as mature and adult as we are, then we could have gone down a road that wasn't really nice."
Osbourne also added: "We're still really, really good friends. It's just that we're not living in the same house. There's no dramatic story. I wish there was so I had something to tell people, but no ... It just happens in life."
The couple’s broken engagement was the first topic discussed on Osbourne’s mom’s daily chatfest, “The Talk.” According to Us Weekly, Mrs. O said, “I can't talk for my daughter, [but] Matthew is a lovely guy. They had two great years together of fun and love and to me, that's why engagements are so important. Engagements are a test run, aren't they? And so it didn't work for whatever reason but they are still good friends and will continue to be," she continued. "It's just not right for them right now. So -- let the auditions begin!"
One person who won’t be auditioning for a boyfriend role is Justin Bieber. While Kelly posted a series of Instagram pics after a fun night out with the pop superstar (he taught her how to spray paint graffiti), her mom made it clear that he’s just a good friend, and definitely not “Boyfriend" material.
