Asian American actress Kelly Hu made her first guest appearance on last week's episode of "Hawaii Five-O" as Laura Hills.

She will reprise her role in an upcoming episode, airing on CBS, Monday, November 15 at 10/9c.

Hu, who is a fourth-generation American with Chinese, Hawaiian and English ancestry, was the very first Asian American female to be crowned Miss Teen USA in 1985.

She went on to model in Japan and Italy for several months before relocating to L.A. where she got her first major acting break on TV's "Growing Pains" in 1987.

Hu also had recurring roles on the TV series "Martial Law" and "Nash Bridges" before making a leap into feature films with roles in "The Scorpion King" and "X2".

More recently, Hu can be seen in a recurring role on the CW series "Vampire Diaries" as Pearl, along with lending her voice for the animated series "Phineas and Ferb" on Disney Channel.

Fans can keep up with Hu on her website www.kellyhu.com, on Twitter (@33Edge) or on Alive Not Dead (www.alivenotdead.com/kellyhu).
