Defeated Democrat Brian Kelly has endorsed Republican Lou Barletta.  The third place candidate in the May 18th primary for Pennsylvania's 11th Congressional district in a three man race with Congressman Paul Kanjorski and Lackawanna County Commissioner Corey O'Brien issued the following press release.

It did not take very long after celebrating his unexpected positive showing from Tuesday's election results that PA-11 (D) candidate Brian Kelly has decided that he is voting for Lou Barletta PA-11 (R) in November. Moreover, Kelly will help other Democrats learn that Lou Barletta is the only candidate in our district who represents the interests of the people of Pennsylvania, and the interests of all Americans. .

Kelly said: "My father always said vote for the man. Paul Kanjorski is not that man. He is not a man of the people. Lou Barletta is a very courageous man, and a fiscal and social conservative. Lou Barletta will make the history books for his pro-American stance on immigration. Paul Kanjorski has forgotten his roots and he has forgotten the people who made him prosperous. It is very easy for me to endorse Lou Barletta for Congress in PA-11. He is a good man and he is a real Pennsylvanian."

Kelly Supporters enjoyed a celebration Tuesday evening at the Barney Inn in Wilkes-Barre, culminating the completion of the campaign. The "Inn" is a favorite spot for locals. Kelly addressed his supporters at about 9:30 Tuesday night with an uplifting speech for a job well done. "Nobody would have expected us to bring in 17% of the vote. Clearly lots of Democrats are looking for a new direction in Washington. The pundits were looking at us getting little more than 4%." Kelly said.

The results were entirely overwhelming and the mood at the Barney was always upbeat. "After our 'meet the candidate' night in White Haven at Sitko's Barn, a popular gathering place, the owners put up a Kelly campaign sign out front. On Tuesday just a few weeks later, we won in White Haven over all candidates and in Luzerne County, we beat the well financed O'Brien campaign." Kelly exulted."

"Of course we played to win, but our down home, grassroots campaign had to overcome major fundraising and major spending by Kanjorski and O'Brien. Other than if we had gained a victory, we could not be happier." Kelly quipped.

In his speech, Kelly reminded his supporters of why they were there and he related that they had made history on May 18, 2010. Kelly called each one of the supporters out by name in his celebration speech and reminded them that their campaign was the only Democratic campaign in Pennsylvania endorsed by the Independence Hall Tea Party. "My good friends and relatives, you made that history happen one signature at a time, one vote at a time. Thank you very much." Kelly lauded.

In many ways the little guys had won a big victory by moving forward inch by inch and step by step. The hard campaign work now must be channeled so that it pays off in the general election. "There is another campaign that shows the same 'take America back' Tea Party ideals and the major goal of that campaign is similar to ours--replace Paul Kanjorski with somebody who cares about the people. A Barletta victory in November is as close to a Kelly victory as we can get. I urge all of my supporters to vote for Lou Barletta and send Paul Kanjorski back home where he can no longer hurt the people of NEPA." Kelly exclaimed.

"Pennsylvanians could have been far better served if Paul Kanjorski had not forgotten his Northeastern Pennsylvania roots about three terms ago. His 10 of 11 record for Nancy Pelosi, her San Francisco agenda, against the people of NEPA was a big eye opener. Kanjo does not care what you think because he and his campaign manager think they can outfox you at every turn." Kelly scoffed.

Corey O'Brien so far has aligned himself with Paul Kanjorski. But, O'Brien really does care about Northeastern PA. His 23,236 supporters already said "no" to Paul Kanjorski in the primary. I urge Corey O'Brien to support Lou Barletta for the good of the people.

"How do you reconcile all of the Congressman's failings from recent times with his "yes m'am" approach to Nancy Pelosi, the Speaker from San Francisco. Add to that the government grants to family members, to turning his back on the Wilkes-Bare Post Office and for selling out the 5000 Sallie Mae jobs in our back yard? Kelly asked? "You can't reconcile it! And it won't stop until he is stopped." kelly said. On May 20, Felipe Calderon, President of Mexico chastised the United States on how we handle illegal aliens. When he denounced the Arizona Law, the law of a sovereign state, all of the Democrats in Congress embarrassed us by giving this desperado a standing ovation.

"I am continually mortified by hard left Democrats who do not care about Americans. I am sick of it. We have a ton of bad actors in this Congress. Does these bandits in Congress really hate America that much? Let's chase them all out even if it means they are replaced by Republicans. And let's keep paying attention. " Kelly suggested.

This Congress story is not fiction. A foreign dignitary stood before Congress and he derides one of our states. Clearly this is disgraceful and if Obama similarly chastised any Mexican State, the Mexican people would be outraged. But, then, instead of expressing outrage, to have our Congress give this head pillager a standing ovation is beyond the pale. "Our Congress again showed its true colors. Throw all of these representatives, (all the Democrats gave the ovation), who honor Mexico over the US -- throw all these bums out. And, please let it begin in Pennsylvania." Kelly said.

Lou Barletta For Congress

Why has Hazleton been in a fiscal crisis for a number of years? Ask how Scranton or Stroudsburg, or Berwick, or Jim Thorpe, or Bloomsburg, or Avoca would do with 7,000 more, some non-paying, residents, almost all at once. Lou Barletta, a good Mayor, but not with the resources of a Governor, is dealing with an unprecedented influx of illegal foreign nationals into Hazleton, PA. Hazleton is the Arizona of the northeast. He's left with no choice but to care for these people but it sure puts a big crimp in City finances.

"Is this Lou Barletta's fault? Hazleton's population has gone up by 25% ? Are the citizens of Hazleton having lots of babies for some reason or has Pennsylvania become a virtual border state? How can a small city like Hazleton not be having a fiscal crisis when they have so many more people with needs." Kelly asked.

"Lou Barletta is an American hero. Those who do not like America, do not like Lou Barletta. His mission is to protect Hazleton from invasion and that will be his mission for the whole country when we elect him to Congress." said Kelly Lou Barletta as Mayor is for Hazleton Americans, not for illegal foreign nationals.

You know the Hazleton story for sure. There is extreme overcrowding in many neighborhoods and crime is on the rise in what always was a nice and quiet city. Brian Kelly commends Lou Barletta on his pro-American response. If non Americans, such as illegal Irish, illegal Italians, illegal Polish, illegal Latinos or illegal Germans do not like how they are being treated by Lou Barletta, who is a real American, then they can pack up and go home tomorrow.

"Lou Barletta is more than right on immigration. He is concerned about the poor work of the 111th Congress of which Paul Kanjorski is a member. From what I see, Lou Barletta thinks just like my supporters and O'Brien's. Lou Barletta is for America first and having that overall position is good for the people. Barletta is against the same things you are against and he will help undue the wrongs of the 111th Congress. Like you, Barletta is against the following:

· Killing babies
· Bailouts
· Too big to fail
· Community Reinvestment Act (no credit check on mortgages)
· Gramm Leach Biley Act -- permitted the financial crisis
· Cap and Trade -- big monster energy tax to cripple business
· School Indoctrination-- like 'mmm mmm mmm Barack Hussein Obama'
· Obamaczars-- operating outside of Congress
· Obamacare-- bankrupts Medicare, increases premiums, govt. control
· Government student loan takeover -- NEPA Sallie Mae will lose 5000 jobs
· Government regulations v people--1000+ page bills filled with freedom killers
· A Congress that represents special interests instead of the people's interests.
· Illegal foreign nationals stealing from Americans

I believe that Lou Barletta is for the people and that will be a welcome change." Kelly said.
