Singer Kelly Clarkson is not only having a baby in a few months, but she also has another TV guest appearance, this time on ABC’s “Nashville.” She will be playing herself on an episode next month, according to TV Line on Dec. 11.
This girl has been quite busy recently with a new Christmas album out called “Wrapped in Red” and adjusting to married life with new husband Brandon Blackstock. She is also stepmother to his two kids. She seems quite happy with her new life and this new acting gig is just one more thing to add to her bliss. This is her second guest spot as she had appeared on CBS's "The Crazy Ones" alongside Robin Williams and Sarah Michelle Gellar. Clarkson got some wonderful reviews, so it looks like she is ready to try out her acting chops once again.
The ABC drama is right up her alley as the expectant mom has been getting her feet wet in the country music genre. She recorded a song with country singer Jason Aldean, “Don’t You Wanna Stay,” which blended their voices together so well. As the daughter-in-law of Reba McEntire and also hanging out with pal Trisha Yearwood lately, Clarkson seems to be getting some more country roots instilled in her.
The "American Idol" winner is recording a song that was performed on an episode of “Nashville” last season by Gunnar and Scarlett called “Fade Into You.” It was a favorite tune on the show and it is sure to be a favorite when Clarkson adds this one to her long list of hits.
Will you be watching Kelly Clarkson next month on “Nashville?”
