Kelly Clarkson admitted she had become overwhelmed by all the wedding arrangements for her upcoming October nuptials. To remedy the situation, the future bride called off her original plan during the mid-planning stage, deciding to play down the initial ceremony she had envisioned by choosing to simply elope.
Tweeting on Aug. 22, the "Catch My Breath" singer clarified this decision, saying that she and her husband-to-be, Brandon Blackstock, are choosing to take part in a much smaller affair than originally conceived "for one reason only. [Kelly and Brandon] want an intimate ceremony."
The other issue talked about in that same tweet from Kelly addresses whether or not the engaged singer is with child. By way of background, this concept came about because a Winchester radio station in Virginia definitively stated on Aug. 20 that Kelly is pregnant through a tweet that has since been removed.
Indeed, as a way to nix the visions of a little Clarkson Blackstock dancing in the heads of many fans, Kelly's rep told Hollywood Life that this source simply made a mistake. The claim is just not true.
And then Kelly Clarkson confirmed this news, saying, "Brandon [and] I are getting married [and] no, I am not pregnant." Period.
So, while the Kelly Clarkson wedding announcement shocker is that this bride is changing up her big, fat, elaborate wedding in exchange for a smaller, more intimate affair, this talented woman in love is also telling folks straight out that she is not having a baby. Or, at least she isn't pregnant yet. Stay tuned.
