Kelly Clarkson has dodged rumors that she is a lesbian for years, but in a recent interview Clarkson said that she is “never insulted by it [gay rumors]. I mean, I get hit on by the hottest girls ever,” Extratv.com reported on Friday, Jan. 4. Kelly Clarkson will appear on the February cover of Cosmopolitan magazine.
In the interview for the February edition of Cosmopolitan magazine, Clarkson says, “People think, ‘Oh, she’s been single for too long.’ That’s kind of an insult to the gay community. Being single doesn’t mean you’re gay. I mean, I get hit on by the hottest girls ever. Oh my god, if I was a lesbian, I would be so in luck. But it’s just not my thing. I’ve always batted for the boys’ team.”
Kelly Clarkson was the first winner of “American Idol”, has won two Grammys. She is currently engaged to Reba McEntire’s stepson, Brandon Blackstock. The two have known each other for several years, but did not start talking until the Super bowl last February. Kelly tells the story of their first date, saying, “And this is the funniest/worst thing ever. One of my superhero idols is Whitney Houston, and the day she died was our first date. I was like, ‘This is a bad omen…’ Six years I was single before this. I’ve never truly loved like I am right now.”
Brandon Blackstock, son of Narvel Blackstock, who manages Kelly Clarkson and wife Reba McEntire’s career, is a music manager whose client list includes close friend Blake Shelton. “Brandon’s totally the one. I’ve never been so happy, “Clarkson reveals.
Kelly Clarkson, the girl from Burleson, Texas, has sold more than 20 million albums and just released “Greatest Hits: Chapter One.”
