Kelly Clarkson inspired millions on Monday morning. The first American Idol winner took the platform on the U.S. Capitol and sang America (My Country, Tis of thee.) Picking up the microphone, Kelly Clarkson sang the patriotic song to the audience on the National Mall. The moving moment was heard around the world and in Hollywood too. Only minutes after the performance artists started complimented Kelly on her performance. On Monday morning it was Reba McEntire who gave kudos to Kelly and discussed her performance with the fans.
“Okay, now back to work. I flew down to work today so I could watch @kelly_clarkson sing before I had to go to the stage! It was worth it!” tweeted Reba McEntire from her official Twitter account. The entertainer obviously was proud of her soon to be daughter-in-law. “Great job @kelly_clarkson on singing today at the Inauguration! So proud of and for you!!!”
Other stars also complimented Kelly Clarkson, but it might have been the fans who really loved the performance. Finding an emotional connection with the crowd, it appears that Kelly’s performance was more powerful than Beyoncé’s moment (but when it came to fashion, Beyoncé definitely was stunning.)
