Despite the fact that Kelly Clarkson could blow most singers out of the water with her outstanding talent, the media refuses to stop commenting on her weight—and now Kelly is responding.
Gracing the September cover of Self Magazine, the American Idol winner admits her weight fluctuates, and says, "My happy weight changes. Sometimes I eat more; sometimes I play more. I'll be different sizes all the time."
Usmagazine.com also reports that Clarkson told Self, "When people talk about my weight, I'm like, 'You seem to have a problem with it; I don't...I'm fine! I've never felt uncomfortable on the red carpet or anything."
The singer said she's been working out with a strength training and cardio program called CrossFit. "I love it! It's like boot camp," she said. "You never work out more than 35 minutes, but it's so intense. You do things like box jumps, then 50 sit-ups, then 50 squats and then running. Me, my backup singers and my hair-and-makeup girl do it together. They laugh at me, because most of the time they're like, 'Oh, my God, I don't want to go,' and I'm the one saying, 'I'm ready! It makes me feel like GI Jane. It's very empowering. I feel like I can whup a--! And in my shows, everybody has noticed. They're like, 'Dude, you have 100 percent more energy!'"
Just as long as you can still sing, Kelly, that's all we care about.

I think Kelly looks great all the time. Her voice gives me chills. She is strong, confident, intellegent, comfortable with herself, and so down-to-earth. Fame as not changed her. I find that so impressive. She is a wonderful role model. And that voice....amazing!!!!
I second that Sassy :) She's an incredible role model with the most amazing and moving voice I've ever heard.
This is why I love Clarkson. She's 100% real which is a rare find in today's hollywood. I agree that she is a role model because she simply doesnt care about what people have to say about her. Shame on SELF Magazine for giving kelly a whole other body.
