Fans got their first look at Kelly Clarkson post-baby when she accepted the ALS ice bucket challenge this week. Clarkson welcomed baby River Rose a couple of months ago, and she's been laying low ever since. After being nominated for the viral challenge, Clarkson and her husband Brandon Blackstock decided to take part.

Clarkson's post-baby debut was posted on Facebook. She joked that she was really nervous and that she'd been nominated by “a ton of mean people.” The “American Idol” winner was antsy as she taped the clip, and she and Brandon nominated a handful of others. The two could barely lift their buckets, but they did it and Clarkson then screamed and ran away.

The ALS Association recently revealed that despite the viral ice bucket challenge getting a lot of criticism for various reasons, donations to the fund have gone through the roof. They have received $22.9 million in donations between July 29 and Aug. 19, compared to just $1.9 million last year in the same time frame.

Donations are being made, and awareness is being raised. Kudos to the “American Idol” star for accepting the ice bucket challenge, and hopefully they went ahead and donated too. Fans loved the clip of Clarkson post-baby and they hope there's more coming from her soon.
