Kelly Clarkson performed in front of her biggest audience yet. Before the Super Bowl 2012 even started, the first American Idol winner was on the field in Indianapolis performing the national anthem for fans of the NFL. The singer looked confident and composed on Sunday, ready to perform for millions of people.
In 2011, Christina Aguilera came under extreme fire after messing up the lyrics on the field however Clarkson didn’t mess up. Looking focused, she not only gave a stellar performance, but remembered all the words of the traditional American song.
While she was still on field toward the end of the song and even after fans watching the performance lit up social media to share in their opinion of how it was done. Kelly Clarkson will be glad to learn that almost everyone felt she did a good job.
“Nice, finally somebody sings it like it’s supposed to be heard,” said F.R. Wefle who posted on Twitter. Many of the fans felt the same way and posted simple notes like “Good Job” and “Nice.” Creating more fans for her music, there is no doubt thousands are going to be looking for Kelly Clarkson on iTunes.
