Kelly Clarkson on gay rumors: 'If I were a lesbian, I would be so in luck' (Photos)

Rumors of Kelly Clarkson being gay have been ongoing since she was single for so long. Of course, her mean men and self reliant themed songs didn't help. On Jan. 3 E! Online reported that Clarkson's recent engagement was likely breaking more girls hearts than guys.

In the February issue of Cosmopolitan, Clarkson revealed how she felt about the gay rumors by saying,

“Being single doesn't mean you're gay. But I'm never insulted by it, obviously. I mean, I get hit on by the hottest girls ever. Oh, my god, if I were a lesbian, I would be so in luck. But it's just not my thing. I've always batted for the boys' team.”

She also confessed that she was single for six years before her relationship with Brandon Blackstock.

Clarkson and Blackstock got engaged after dating about a year, according to Ok! Magazine. Blackstock is a talent manager and the son of Clarkson's manager. He is also the stepson of Clarkson's mentor, Reba McEntire.

After being proposed to with a canary yellow engagement ring, Clarkson let everyone know by posting to Twitter on Dec. 15. She Tweeted,

“I'M ENGAGED!!!!! I wanted y'all to know!! Happiest night of my life last night! I am so lucky and am with the greatest man ever :)”

Hopefully this sets the record straight once and for all; Clarkson is not gay and is in fact engaged to a male. Cheers to the happy couple.
