Nashville based singer Kelly Clarkson has married Brandon Blackstock in a Tennessee ceremony which was held at Blackberry Farms, close to Knoxville, TN. Clarkson, who was the first winner of the 'American Idol' television musical reality show, became engaged to Blackstock earlier, and after planning a large wedding, she gave up on that idea in favor of a smaller wedding.
With this being her first wedding, she could have been excused for going way overboard with the ceremony and all the trappings that goes with a huge wedding ceremony. But we like the idea of a smaller wedding for her, as sometimes, the pressure of doing so much planning can wear a bride-to-be to a frazzle.
Clarkson, who has established her singing career in the pop music field, had recently been leaning closer to the country field, and who can blame her, as her step-mother-in-law is now the ever-popular country music superstar, Reba McEntire. She also had a hit in recent memory of a duet with country singer Jason Aldean.
Clarkson announced to her fans through her website:
I'm officially Mrs. Blackstock We got married yesterday at Blackberry Farms in TN, the most beautiful place ever!
