"I was on the phone, and she was talking, so I muted it where she couldn't hear me," says the 31-year-old singer, who is now 12 weeks pregnant. "I totally vomited in the toilet then just came back."
At the time, Clarkson was trying to keep the news a secret. She announced her pregnancy on Twitter Nov. 19.
"I wasn't telling people, because everybody tells you to wait three months, and I didn't want her to catch on," Clarkson says. "It was pretty awesome."

Have a safe pregnancy. If you are pregnant: Schedule an appointment with your gynecologist or local health department immediately, follow your doctor’s orders, talk to your doctor before taking over-the-counter and/or prescribed medications, eat healthy meals, take prenatal vitamins as prescribed and get plenty of rest. Also, do not drink alcohol, smoke cigarettes, or use illegal drugs.
