Kelly Clarkson is refusing to let Clive Davis bully her around because he can’t remember exactly how things went down. According to People on Feb. 19, Davis remembers his first encounter with Clarkson a little different than the way Clarkson remembers it.
Davis just released his memoir "The Soundtrack of My Life," and in it he recalls when he first met Clarkson. Davis says that Clarkson was crying over the song “Since U Been Gone” that she had written. Davis also reveals that he is bisexual in his new memoir.
Clarkson says that is all wrong. Clarkson feels he is really mixed up. She is proud of that song. Clarkson resents him putting a damper on that song in any way. Clarkson says she did cry when she encountered Davis for the first time but it was because she played the song Because of You. Davis did not like the song and told her she was a sh**ty writer and she should be grateful for the gifts he had bestowed upon her.
Kelly Clarkson still believes Clive Davis’s memory is not as clear on that first encounter as she is. Clarkson is positive about the situation and shows it on her blog by saying, “I love my job. I love my music. I love my fans. Growing up is awesome because you learn you don’t have to cower to anyone - even Clive Davis.” Who do you think is right? Sound off in comments below!
