Kelly Clarkson will be taking her acting skills to the ABC drama “Nashville.” Radio.com reported on Dec. 12, 2013 that Clarkson will make a guest appearance. Clarkson will not be playing a fictional character on the episode she appears in. She will be portraying herself during her appearance on the hit show.
Clarkson is set to be seen on “Nashville” during episode 11. The special appearance was part of the previews following the mid-season finale. Clarkson’s episode will be featuring her performance of the song “Fade Into You.”
Clarkson has performed the song before during a concert following a fan request. Clarkson talked about performing fan requests during her concerts saying “This is my favorite part of the show because it’s the one song we do different every night.”
Clarkson added “With YouTube, no show is really that sacred because everything is online right after the first show. So, we like to make every show special. We let somebody in the audience we’re at every night pick a song and we learn it that day.”
Clarkson spoke about singing the fan requested song “Fade Into You” which she will perform on “Nashville” saying “This song happens to be a song . . . I know you all have these, your repeat songs that you just listen to hypnotically on repeat over and over. This is that song for me and I was very excited when I saw it on the fan request list.
Clarkson recently wrapped up her own television special titled "Kelly Clarkson's Cautionary Christmas Music Tale" that featured many stars including Blake Shelton, Reba McEntire and Trisha Yearwood showing off their singing and acting skills.
Clarkson showed her nerves on her Facebook page before the special happened posting “Thanks Blake Shelton for easing my nerves. Haha!” Clarkson also thanked everyone who took part in making the special happen on Twitter saying “It is so awkward watching yourself on TV but thank you so much to Done & Dusted, and the band, and all the actors!! Y'all are awesome! :)”
