Fans have been eagerly waiting for any kind of news. Clarkson has been relatively quiet in the last few months of pregnancy and only a few pictures have been taken of her being pregnant. After months of Kelly’s tweets of how sick she had gotten during pregnancy, the powerhouse singer-songwriter took to her Twitter account today to announce the news!

Brandon and Kelly were wed in October of last year in a small very intimate setting in Tennessee. After getting overwhelmed with planning a big wedding, they decided it was better to go small and make it a perfect day.

Blackstock is step-son to Reba McEntire. His father also happens to be Kelly’s manager since 2007 when Reba took the budding star under her wing and gave her the guidance she’d need to be a woman in such a lucrative industry. The singers also went out on tour together twice, singing on stage together the entire time. Since hiring Reba’s husband as her manager, Kelly has expressed how easy her job has gotten and finally has the right team of people around her that she also now calls her family.

Being pregnant didn’t stop Clarkson from going into the studio. She recorded a duet with Martina McBride and recently, tweets appeared from a songwriter who had Kelly record her song.

Kelly had planned on recording two albums, but as always, as time goes by song choices change and old material generally stays that way. The Grammy winner wants to release a full country album and another pop album. But with baby Clarkson finally joining the world, plans might change! Will we see new music by the end of the year? Maybe, maybe not but she’s sure going to have a new chapter in her life to write and sing about.

All we know, is that we hope River Rose gets some of her mother’s extraordinary talent and maybe one day, she will carry on the “Idol” winner’s legacy!

Congratulations to Brandon and Kelly in such a special moment of their lives!
