Hours after the world learned that singer Kelly Clarkson canceled her wedding plans, Clarkson posted a tweet on Twitter to clear up any rumors that were swirling. On August 22 Clarkson tweeted that she is not pregnant, and added that she is eloping because she wants a private ceremony.
Clarkson's tweet read:
“FYI ....Brandon & I are getting married & no I am not pregnant. We are eloping for one reason only. We both want an intimate ceremony.”
Clarkson reportedly told People.com that their “whole life is a celebration,” and added that they didn't need another day to throw a big party.
Clarkson was set to marry her fiancé Brandon Blackstock on October 20, 2013 in Nashville, Tennessee in a lavish ceremony, but it seems they couple has had a change of heart.
The couple have been dating about a year, and announced their engagement in December 2012. On August 20 the singer tweeted photos of her and Blackstock saying it was from their engagement photo shoot.
There is no word on when the happy couple will tie the knot, or where the ceremony will be held.
