A new movie about Aaliyah is coming to Lifetime and this sounds like one movie you will not want to miss. Zendaya has already been chosen to play the part of Aaliyah in this biopic. On Monday, MSN shared something big that fans have been wondering if would be discussed in this film or not.

Aaliyah had an alleged secret marriage to R. Kelly back when she was just 15-years-old. This is a big part of her life and now fans will get to hear this story. The marriage will be a big part of the upcoming Lifetime made for television movie. Everyone has been really interested in hearing more about this part of her life and now is the time that it will come out. This movie will be called "Aaliyah: Princess of R&B."

This movie is going to talk about the alleged wedding. Nobody really knows if this happened or not, but rumors have been flying that it did. She was only 15-years-old and he was 27-years-old at the time that everyone heard that they were married. There is a marriage certificate out there and it shows her with a fake age of 18 on it.

Executive producer Debra Martin Chase spoke out about it and said, "Aaliyah's personal and professional relationship with R. Kelly will be explored with care in the film as we set out to depict her life with the utmost respect. Above all else, it's our hope to inspire an entirely new generation with her music and larger-than-life talent."

Hot New Hip Hop shared the news that Zendaya was cast in this part. She is a Disney star but has also been on "Dancing With the Stars." Her fan base will be watching this movie as well as fans of Aaliyah. BET's Keisha Chante was talked about for the role as well but ultimately didn't get it.

This movie will start when she was just 10-years-old and go on to Aaliyah's death at the young age of 22. They are still working on the film so there is not an exact date of when it will air yet. It will be on Lifetime and you can easily assume it will be their Saturday night movie of the week.
