NBC News reported last night on the recall of several sized boxes of Kelloggs Special K Red Berries Cereal. The Ohio based company announced the recall yesterday, due to the possibility of glass fragments inside the packaging.
The recalled packages of Special K Red Berries Cereals are the sizes listed below, with the UPC codes and dates written as shown on the exterior packaging:
11.2-ounce packages with the UPC Code 38000 59923, and best used before dates of DEC 02 2013 KNC 105 00:13 KNC 105 02 30.
22.4-ounce twin packs, with the UPC Code 38000 78356, and best used by dates of NOV 30 2013 KNA 105 07:00 to NOV 30 2013 KNA 105 08:51, and NOV 30 2013 KNB 105 15:00 to NOV 2013 KNB 105 17:05
37-ounce packages with UPC Code 38000 20940, and best used before dates of NOV 30 2013 KNB 107 17:31 to NOV 30 2013 KNB 107 20:05
There are no other sizes or packages with different numbers affected by this recall, and cereals distributed to Canada were not affected.
If you find any of the affected cereal in your possession, return it to your retailer for a full refund. You may also contact Kelloggs to obtain a coupon to replace the recalled cereal.
