Kellie Pickler's drummer Gregg Lohman seriously hurt in highway pileup

Kellie Pickler's drummer, Gregg Lohman, remains hospitalized today (Monday) after being seriously hurt in a car crash over the weekend on a Kentucky highway. The "American Idol" standout turned country star released a statement on Facebook, Sunday, asking her fans to pray for Lohman.

"Yesterday, my drummer Gregg Lohman was in a horrific car accident and is currently in ICU. Gregg is not just my drummer, he is family. I believe in miracles and the power of prayer, so it would mean the world to me, my band, and Gregg's family if you would please keep him in your prayers. Thank y'all so much. -Pickler"

CNN reports Pickler's drummer had to be airlifted from the scene of the huge pileup to the hospital with head and neck injuries. Lohman was reportedly driving along Interstate 65 when he slowed because of a firey (and deadly) crash on the other side of the highway. The driver behind him, however, did not slow down and plowed into the back of Lohman's truck. That set off a chain-reaction crash involving two other vehicles, as well.

Gregg Lohman has been working and touring as Kellie Pickler's drummer since 2006. His Facebook page also lists him as an adjunct percussion instructor at Tennessee State University.
